Moment of silence... the hip-hop beat stopped... people in the crowd were quiet.. they had all eyes on her waiting for her next move. She sat in the chair in the middle of the stage...She grabbed her guitar and started to pluck a sad melody... then she recited a poem...
Her pain disguised by a smile
She's been this way for a while
Her style is camouflage
She blends in with the crowd
At least that's what she thinks
Everyone seems happy
While she applies the lipstick
To mask emotional sickness
She listens to compliments
Sayin' that she is beautiful
But that's so hard to get
She doesn't feel that way
Staying busy trying everything
To keep from feeling anything
She just continues wandering
She's feeling so sad
Wishing for the happiness
that she's formerly had
Wearing pink lipstick
as a part of the mask...
... She uttered each word with conviction... You could feel the emotion in every line.. Her voice could move you into the loneliness that she felt...She stood up and left the crowd... No one was talking...People were still hanging onto the emotion that was set upon the stage... Till one of them gave a clap...followed by the rest.
"Thank you for a very good presentation Pink Gypsy..we are looking forward to hearing more about you soon." the emcee said on the stage.
I need to go to the back stage... I need to let her know I am there... The room was so crowded... I lost sight of her...
" Mister, you're not allowed to go in there!" the guard shouted at me as he ran towards me to block the entry.
"I am sorry, but I need to talk to that girl."
"Which girl are you talking about?" the guard asked.
"The Pink Gypsy." I replied
"Oh she already left... She was in a hurry, she used the lounge's back door... If you are a fast runner you might be able to catch her." He said.
Immediately I ran to the front door...and didn't bother watching out for anyone.
"Hey!"shouted by a man.
"What do you think this place is, a running arena?"added by the woman sitting next to him.
"I am sorry I am in a hurry...I'm sorry."

I think Pink Gypsy is fine too at this time. If you're giving her a proper name, then that would need a story to back up a bit. Let say Anastasia Steele in Fifty Shades. Her family, her status, etc. etc. Just my two cents. Nice one, as always Genskie!
